I am Kate Righter, and I run Niele Designs from my home on Oahu, Hawaii. I have been creating unique and affordable art for businesses and individuals since 2008. I am also very niele, which means curious in Hawaiian. I’m always asking questions so I can learn more about my clients, more about graphic design, and more about the world in general! So what can I do for you?
I can:
- Make a logo for your new company, or update an existing one.
- Design a brochure or flyers.
- Update your business identity.
- Design and print business cards and letterhead.
- Take photos to help promote your business or edit photos you’ve taken.
- Train you how to use Adobe software (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign or Acrobat).
- Create invitations for your wedding or event.
- Need help with something artsy? You should contact me!
Before owning my own business, I worked in the marketing department of ALTRES for two years. I’ve also worked part time as a tutor and substitute teacher at Mokapu Elementary.
I graduated from Virginia Tech in 2005, with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Design. While in school, I took classes in marketing, drawing, and learned how to use many different types of design software. Since graduating, I’ve taken courses from the Outreach Program at the University of Hawaii in digital workflow and design management, and attended lectures through Ad2Honolulu and the local AAF chapter.
I do most of my design work on my Apple Mac Mini, using Adobe software — Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Acrobat Professional.
I am also developing a personal website to provide links to local resources for Hawaii moms and dads, Niele Mom.
